After TRAI said that promotional offers couldn’t extend for more than 90 days, Reliance Jio had announced their Welcome Offer to end this December 3.
But now, just a few days before the ending date of Jio’s Welcome offer, Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited has announced the brand new ‘Jio Happy New Year Offer’. This way Reliance Jio has extended its promotional offer of free data and voice calls till March 31, 2017 without crossing TRAI deadlines.
According to this new offer, all new Jio customers will get free voice calls, data and video access till March 31, extending the promotional offer from an earlier deadline of December 31, 2016. This new offer will be automatically activated on all existing Jio SIM cards as well. This suggests that the 52 million existing customers of Reliance Jio will also be able to benefit from it.
Ambani also talked of the inter-connectivity problem that the new telecom player was facing with Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India, Idea Cellular. He told that the call block problem has now come down to 20% from 90% and it is further expected to go down to 0.2%, enhancing the user’s experience.
In his New Year speech, Ambani shared that Jio has become the fastest growing technology company, not only in India, but in the HISTORY OF THE WORLD in the last 3 months since they launched in September.
